Praise God...the EEG was normal!

my little rapunzel
these leads didn't get in the way of her playing
sleeping in daddy's arms
We are so thankful to the Lord that we can say her EEG was normal! She really didn't have very many of the episodes during the study (I believe due to your prayers) and the ones she had did not show any seizure activity. He diagnosed her with benign non-epileptic myoclonus. He said she should outgrow it by the time she is a year, maybe 2 years and the prognosis is excellent!!!
Emery Kate did so well with the whole thing. They had to glue the leads to her head and she did so well with it all. She is so sweet and we are so thankful that it is not seizures going on inside of her! Thank you for praying for her. We know she is loved. God is so good! I know He would be good even if they were seizures, but He is so gracious to us!
Blake had a CT scan this morning as well and so hopefully we will know in the next week or so whether he needs surgery! Keep him in your prayers. Thanks again!

It is hard being a parent. Blake and I are realizing this. You don't want anything to be wrong with your child and yet things happen. First, Emery Kate had her first cold this week. It is so sad seeing them with a fever and horrible cough and runny nose. The sweet thing was that she was so cuddly. She would snuggle with us to fall asleep which she normally doesn't do anymore. It melts my heart. I know she is just going to get more independent and so I cherish those moments.
Secondly, for those of you who read this blog I ask that you would pray for her. She has been having these little spasms starting last week. We were sent to a neurologist on Friday and he believes they sound like infant seizures. These can be very neurologically devestating if not treated. Obviously, Blake and I are very concerned. We did a short EEG on Friday and it was negative...praise God, but he wants us to do a 24 hour EEG this week and possibly an MRI. So, please pray that everything will be okay and that they will figure out what is causing this or that these spasms would stop. It hurts Blake and I to watch her go through these. She is the sweetest baby in the world. We love her so much!
Thank you for believing with us that God is our healer and He is GOOD! We know that he knows what is best for Emery Kate and we just have to trust Him.
