Baylor-tech game

Thanks to bebe and pawpaw we got to go to the Baylor tech game at Texas stadium again! It is always fun to go to and this year we had amazing seats!

(late post) State Fair of Texas 2012

This is beyond late but I wanted to post some pictures from the state fair. We love going to the fair and got to go once with blake and once with Dana and her kids.

of course we ate our way through...this stop was for dipping dots

some sweet family gave EK and molly this huge sheep while we were walking by. it was very thoughtful, it just took up our whole stroller the entire night.

we didn't do any of the rides but EK got to make sand art and LOVED it.

Blake's favorite part is the games so he had the girls in on them as well.

with the Carona's we did the helping hands farm which is so cute and the kids love it

our favorite part was this tucked away area with a lot of the live stock that was not nearly as crowded as the petting zoo

it was so cool b/c we saw this chick trying to peck its way out of the egg...amazing

The fair is definitely one of the things that makes the fall so great (pumpkins, cool weather, football, birthdays, etc).

Baylor homecoming

We had so much fun at Baylor homecoming this year! I didn't have my good camera but I wanted to post a few pics of the girls from the parade and game. Debbie had these dresses made for them last year and they looked so cute!

paci the bear

 I had this brilliant idea (or so I thought) to let EK pick one of her favorite old pacifiers and go to build a bear and stuff it in the bear. The idea: when you miss your paci you can hug the bear to feel better. We techinically took the pacifier away from even bedtime awhile ago but she still will take Molly's and hide and suck it for awhile quite often. So, I thought this would be fun.

Everything started out great...EK was super excited and picked out the bear she wanted.

 I have to admit it makes me sad that she is too big for this. I love me a paci baby!

EK picked out the heart to place inside and gave the lady her pacifier. The lady asked if I wanted the pacifier where she could feel it. I thought that was a good idea (at the time!).

 everything was going great. We started to try and pick out an outfit. There are a lot of hideous options if you have never been.

 Molly was having fun playing in the store.

 we made the birth certificate and I named it "Paci" because she wanted to name her Molly but I didn't think that would be a good idea :)

 Once EK realized the pacifer was in there and she could feel it she started crying wanting it out. She wanted to use it and started getting really whiny and upset. It was not fun. Blake ended up paying for the bear while I had her outside having a talk. I guess we had opened up the wound. Bad idea Amy. Oh well, by the end of the night she was happier and I got a good pic of her hugging "Paci the bear".

 

hopefully this will help and not backfire like it did in the store. I thought it was a good idea...
