christmas at home before the real thing

We did the kid's gifts before we headed to Michigan since it would be hard to travel with everything. It was fun to have it be just the five of us for a little bit!
Love my little kids!!!

the kid's tree that they got to decorate

Burson got a lot of help opening his gifts!

 excited!!!

One gift EK asked for was a tool set! You can tell she likes to help her daddy :)

Their big gift this year was this play canopy for the play room. They loved it!

now time to head to Michigan!

pre-Christmas fun

We went to see Grandma Bettye and Sugarmonster over the christmas season and I thought it was so funny watching the girls watch the christmas carousel go round and round.
They love going to visit my grandparents (especially b/c my grandpa gives them peppermints every time he sees them)
I love my tradition of making oreo balls for my friends. The girls love helping me bake and they really loved helping me make the oreo balls! Love my helpers!!!
Can't handle the cuteness of burson in these next few pics in his Christmas Best :)

We loved having the Cox family stay with us for a weekend!

Since we were going to be in Michigan over Christmas the Marable gang came up to Dallas for gift exchanging and gingerbread house decorating! It was so fun!! A great new tradition!

 Here's EK and Molly's house!

Hudson did a great job too!

 happy girls!!!

9 months

Burson was 9 months on December 22nd. I LOVE this stage. He is such a joy to all of us! He loves to sit and play with toys for the longest time. He isn't crawling yet but somehow makes his way all around. He is super close to crawling. I need to enjoy these last couple of weeks before he is on the move and my life gets a lot busier!

He is saying "mama" and "dada" and "duh". He waves bye bye and Aunt B even said he blew a kiss at her :)
He loves us singing to him, especially this little light of mine, which was molly's favorite as a baby too!
He has had his 3rd haircut and still just has his two bottom teeth.
We all just adore our little burbear so much!! Can't believe he is so close to one!!!

He is already a big Baylor Bear fan...this was the Baylor Tech game at Cowboy stadium.
He has his momma's heart...that's for sure!

love my boys!

She loves being his big sister and he lets her hold him all the time!

Our christmas visit to Michigan was COLD! And I didn't have gloves for Burbear so coached lent his :)

Unfortunately he has had to do breathing treatments like EK :(
He is always a fan of baths or showers with his silly sisters!
We love you more and more everyday burson!

We have loved alternating taking Harper to Ballet with us! Emery Kate really has fun with her! She is a doll!

I love this all about me robot EK made at school...my favorite is that she is special b/c "I go to Michigan" and I love that she wants to be a chef when she grows up! Sounds good to me!!

We had a big ice storm the first week of December. It was crazy....the girls loved it!

Molly kept wanting to eat the "bicycles"

It was all fun and games until we lost our power for two nights. We snuggled the first night but headed to Waco after that!
lots of this in our house all the time
as you can see Burson gets plenty of attention :)
a few moms took our girls to see the Nutcracker that was performed by girls from their dance studio...it was so sweet.
that weekend of the ice storm we headed to Waco for power but also b/c we had tickets to the Baylor Texas game...the last game at Floyd Casey. It was around 20 degrees...BRRRR

Baylor WON and clinched the Big 12 Championship!

 it was a fun night!
