Memorial Day, Waco, & more

Love Burson in the bumbo so I will probably randomly post pics of him in it.
I also love EK and Jayden holding hands in northpark. the sweetest.
Burson was 2 months on the day this was taken and we were trying to get a picture of him smiling...
 so the girls got goofy

but we caught it! Love his smile :)

Emery Kate loves to hold him.
He seems a little nervous that I let her do this.
I had the most handsome date at Alex's sprinkle at Fireside Pies

On Saturday we headed to Waco for a week. EK was taking swimming lessons there but the week started with a fun day at the river with the Conlee family. They even rented a blow up slide that was HUGE (way bigger than ours). EK had a blast!

Molly fell asleep in blake's lap on the river. Why not? seems like a good spot to me.
Burson had some good nights of sleep in Waco. Love that miracle blanket. I had stopped using it for awhile and I don't know why. It works great. He has given me some 7.5-8 hours nights recently.
I was so excited b/c my friends Rachel and Sarah were both in town!!! We went over there on the morning of memorial day and I had such a great time catching up with them. Love both of those girls so much.
After breakfast with the Lundeens we went to the funny farm for the day.
 EK loves her cousin Camryn
 the girls table
We interrupted the fun at the funny farm to go to swim lessons day one. It is just up the street from my parents house so we walked there and back. Once again the cousins are holding hands. I can't even handle it. They are the sweetest of friends.
After the swim lessons the Ogdens and my parents came out to the funny farm too. It was such a fun time! we took the mule down to the tank to fish!

Blake was brave and took all the kids out on the paddle boat. He is such a good dad and uncle!

love this of campbell and Christy
more waco pics to come...

Galveston Family Trip

There is nothing like experiencing the ocean for the first time.
Blake and I took the kids to Galveston for a short trip a couple weeks ago. EK has been asking to go to the beach for over a year so we decided to make it happen.
We were a little nervous about how the weekend would go b/c we got there on a thursday and it was cool and overcast and the beach was pretty dirty. Blake and I both wanted to trade places with Burson all cozy in the car seat. We were a funny site with our carseat on the beach, haha!

We got smart and moved to the hotel pool. Burson was very happy with this decision

We went to dinner at the rainforest cafe. It is a fun place for kids! I think EK took this pic below.

the next day we went Pleasure Pier for the evening. The girls had so much fun winning stuffed animals. Some games even guaranteed a prize (our kind of games, ha!)

Burson got to carry the animals :)

the girls and their loot
Thankfully they must have cleaned the beach for the weekend and it was so much nicer! We played there on Saturday for awhile and the girls had a lot of fun!

Once again Burson had a blast at the beach :)
It was such a fun trip. I can't believe there are five of us. I am so thankful for this little family God has given me. Sometimes I have to pinch myself. My heart is so full. I look forward to many more family vacations in the years to come.

NOLA and other random pics

I love this picture of the three of them. I couldn't believe I caught one of all three of them looking at me! They were all just sitting on the couch watching Curious George!  you never know when you can capture a great pic! This was the last day Burson had his ear wells on! I was so happy to get them off! His ears look great!

Blake had to go to New Orleans for work a few weeks ago. I had never been so I decided to tag along! Cindy was so sweet and stayed with the girls and I brought Burson! He did great the whole time.
We went out the first night with one of his coworkers and had some seafood. Unfortunately I got REALLY sick that night so seafood is now dead to me. Blake enjoyed it though.
New Orleans is all about eating and good food so it was a bummer to be sick most of the time.

these are a few precious pics I got of burbear while we were at the hotel...i can't get enough of this sweet boy!

 love this little hand

 seriously? so cute...
Thankfully the last day I was feeling better so we ventured to Cafe Du Monde. Ok- that place really is so amazing. No wonder everyone recommended it!
poor Burbear ended up with some powdered sugar in his hair after all that.

When we got home I decided that Burson was big enough to try the Bumbo. It was a big hit with all of them. I love how they can sit in it easier now than when they were babies, haha. I remember having to shake it off their thighs back then!

on mother's day all the siblings had dinner with my mom and dad at the D'Brots. it was so fun to have time with just us and my parents. I love my family so much. we prayed for a long time for healing for my mom. It was a really sweet time.
